200h Slowness Practices Foundational Training
200H Slowness Practices Foundational Training, Sept-Nov 2027 (CH & FR)
NOT YOUR MAINSTREAM YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
° smart & relatable movement + breath ° curiosity ° play ° critical thinking °
This 200h teacher training blends the roots of yoga with modern science, academics, pedagogy, and creativity. It’s a non-dogmatic foundational training, one that gathers all the knowledge & experience I’ve gained in my first decade of teaching. It is a well-thought-out & well-rounded program covering everything you need to start your own journey - leaving you feeling knowledgeable, empowered, and able to think critically about modern yoga and the wellness industry at large. You won't be given strict methods or rules to follow. Instead, you’ll be encouraged to find your own vision and voice, and to nurture your creativity, so you can share a yoga that truly reflects your selfhood.
THE CONTENT:
Asana, Pranayama & Stillness (~50h): a creative blend slow vinyasa, functional mobility, inversions, yin, & more.
History & Philosophy (~25h): history based on academic research, & philosophy made practical - both will inform your teaching vastly.
Applied Anatomy & Biomechanics (~20h): practical anatomy that actually supports your understanding of your practice & teaching: engaging, useful and actually applicable knowledge.
Asana Lab, Body Reading & Hands-on Adjustments (~15h): understanding key actions, individual alignment, appropriate touch, consent & more.
Teaching Methodologies & The Language of Yoga (~15h): work on your cues, expand your vocabulary, your vision and images and learn how to guide a class from A to Z with confidence, while staying authentic.
Smart Sequencing & Inclusivity (~15h): we will go beyond ‘peak pose’ sequencing, learning how to create smart classes that will leave your students feeling both balanced and rested.
Practicum, written Exams & individual Feedback (~20h)
Introduction to Yin & Restorative Yoga
Introduction to Trauma Sensitive Yoga
Introduction to Prenatal Yoga
The Business & Ethics of Yoga (online): we will discuss all things Self-Employment, Website, Social Media, Marketing, Communication, Ethics & more.
